My view on LinkedIn CEO’s silly comment that no one has time for G+ is he better wake-up before LinkedIn joins MySpace and becomes LinkedOut.

LinkedIn has a outdated policy on how to connect with other connections. You can connect to only people you know. Some user are flagging invites to connect as spam, that’s not spam unless you get hit up everyday with an invite from the same person. Those users need to get real to not flag invites as spam, they seem to be the type that jump under the bed when they get an invite from a person that they don’t know. These people should feel complimented that someone found you interesting and want’s to reach out and make a connection and in return you flag them for spamming. Just ignore them or send and email back saying thank you for reaching out but I do not want to make a connection. Don’t jump under a bed and hide.

My take on Facebook and Twitter is they need to follow G+ closely and continue to improve their products.

Just when you think you are doing OK and set for life, life throws a sucker punch at you. Just get up and evaluate the situation. You will feel anger and say why me what happened I did not see this coming or you did see it coming but did not want to accept it. Just keep your energy positive now and stay focused on how you will handle the situation. Network with all your friends and former co-workers to get the word out that you are available. Never give up no matter how discouraging it gets. Every time you take a fall getup and keep on trying. Tenacity is the key to your success. Just keep on chasing your dreams. Dreams do come true never stop believing.

A tip career wise: Always reinvent yourself and keep current and remember nothing is forever at times, it will prepare you better to handle sucker punches when life gives you one.

Stay positive everything has a purpose in life. Find it!!!

Friend selection: Hmm well unlike family we can choose the circle of friends we want to associate with and for family we are born into a family and have no choice other than picking our spouse…

Selecting friends as we glide through life, it’s not how many friends we pickup along the way it’s the quality of the friendship. True friendship is an understanding and excepting your friend the way they are not having to impress your friend to hang out with them. A real friends is a person that cares less of your financial and career standings. A friend can be rich or poor it should not matter and what happens when you find a great friend your life is enriched because you can’t buy a true friend it’s priceless…

How do we meet our friends??? Don’t force it because it just happens whether you are introduced to them or meet them on your own. The friends you select, you just know it there is a chemistry between the both of you that you just click and are as the saying goes “Birds of a feather flock together”…

Everyone should have friends to share their life. Friends give us advice, comfort and support. A real friend is just a neat person that you can talk to about anything no borders…

Harbor Pub in Waikiki on the island of Oahu my favorite watering hole and place to get frozen blended margaritas that are so good to drink with nachos or pizza. They have more on the menu the food is great…

You can find me there with my wife on Friday or Saturday nights most of the time. When we have to baby sit the granddaughters we also bring them with us they enjoy the atmosphere in the Pub it’s a cozy place to hang out in the booths…

1) Walking along the beach in Waikiki at night a group of police officers on ATV’s speeding across the sand kicking up dust while they speed past a tourist couple sitting on the sand enjoying a romantic moment gazing into the ocean. The moment was spoiled by the police offers acting like Hells Angels on their ATV’s. The couple left…

2) Two reserve Police cars speeding in a 25 miles zone flying over speed bumps at the Ala Wai Boat Harbor to clear out a parking lot that bans parking after 10:30pm. Not a life and death situation warranting excess speed. Tourist walking by shaking their heads…

3) Looking for a parking a Ward Centers a India tourist leap frogs full blast over a pole and almost lands on the hood of my car while I look for a parking. If I was not driving slow I would have hit him…

4) A sad incident by the Consolidate Theater at Ward Center a homeless lady arguing with the Theater manager because he asked her to leave the area. A lot of yelling going on. The manger left to call security. This is what is sad a stupid young woman bystander decided to get involved and make a bigger scene and act like she is so great mouthing off to a mentally disturbed homeless woman. That young woman instead of showing concern and passion for the woman just acting like she is retarded by getting involved in a shouting match with the woman and causing a bigger disturbance. End result the homeless lady taken away by security and that young woman walks away laughing with her friends…

Ever wondered what you are capable of doing in 5 seconds. Well in a certain situation it can be an eternity like those movie scenes shown in slow motion that if played in real time would be like a flash if you blinked you missed it…

I recently had a situation that required immediate reaction with 5 seconds to spare. I was helping my daughter at Sam’s Club. My daughter took the elevator with the shopping cart and I took the two rascals on the escalator. The escalator we took is like a conveyor belt on a incline not like the escalators at the shopping malls. I held the hand of my 1 year old granddaughter and let the 3 year old granddaughter walk along the escalator telling her to be careful and good. OK big mistake she ran all the way up the escalator and got off it. I told just wait there do not go anywhere…

Almost up to the top of the escalator when the 3 year old decides to get back on the escalator to join me and her sister. She slipped of course not realizing entering a escalator against the normal flow is not good. There were some kids doing that earlier and I told my granddaughter that’s not good to do it dangerous. Well I guess she wanted to try it out. Oh back to the story. As my granddaughter slipped and fell on the soft rubber of the escalator I let go of her 1 year old sister so I could pick her up before she gets caught in the area at the top of the escalator where the rubber goes under the escalator comb plate. I jumped into action, I was able to get her up in time and off the escalator to safety. Oh no the 1 year old is flat on her back like a turtle enjoying a ride. The scene looked like from a cartoon where the villain ties the damsel in distress to a piece of lumber on a table saw conveyor belt to be cut in half. I swoop down and pick her up with no time to spare and get off the escalator. We are all safe. My daughter greets us and we all act like nothing happened…

The moral to the story is it helps to be a young G-Daddy but keep an eye on the little ones on any escalator they are all dangerous…

What do the Holidays mean to you??? So many people are stressed and depressed by it and others look forward to it. What happened to the meaning of Christmas we have made it into a commercial holiday and the true meaning is steadily being forgotten unless parents teach their children what the Christmas season really represents. I have not forgotten what Christmas means…

The true meaning of Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Three Kings from the East visited Jesus after his birth, bearing gifts. This is where the tradition of exchanging gifts evolved from. Over the years Christmas customs have really evolved all around the world and it’s all good if you do not forget the true meaning of Christmas and don’t use it as an excuse to get depressed it should be the happiest time of the year!!!

My suggestion on the XMAS Season is be thankful that you are here to celebrate it again. Enjoy the season and do not feel obligated to buy everyone a gift or if you are compelled to give gifts give a gift that you could give to everyone. Family is another story use your discretion. Objective is to make the experience of exchanging gifts pleasant so do not go on search and destroy missions to find a gift. When exchanging gifts it’s not about toping each other with extravagant gifts it’s the custom that we follow from the Three Kings that gave Jesus gifts. Anything you receive is a gift so be thankful as we are in the midst of a poor economy with unemployed, homeless, hungry and if you have extra change to buy gifts you are blessed in these hard times…

The coming of the New Year 2010 is a time of reflection and celebration!!! Don’t use it as an excuse to be depressed. Like Xmas be happy that you are here again welcoming a New Year in. Make achievable resolutions for the New Year. Take it one step at a time…

In closing for those having the Holiday Blues it should be from being cold LOL not sad. Enjoy the season it’s the Happiest time of the year so spend time with friends and family if you can…

It’s the Thanksgiving week in the USA. This is a time to reflect on the past year. If you are reading this it can’t be that bad you have have a device that can access the internet. All kidding aside we need to be thankful for what we have and not be obsessed with what we want. I’m thankful for a home, family, friends and good health, oh and of course a delicious dinner on Thanksgiving Day…

I’m very thankful for being able to reside in one of worlds greatest place to live Hawaii!!!!
